The La Julia Farm from which this coffee comes is situated at 1450 meters in the mountainous region of Tolima, Colombia. The farm is owned by the folks we buy it from, so it is a direct trade relationship, cutting out as many middlemen as possible.
Roasted lighter than our other Colombian coffee we regularly stock, the coffee will display notes of citrus, passionfruit and pineapple with a bright acidity for a Colombian coffee.
From the farm owners website description of this coffee:
Our largest and and most mature microlot is full of a wide array of our coffee. El Vergel lays in the foothills of Colombia’s most notorious volcano, the Nevado Del Ruiz, otherwise known as Black Mountain.
