The 45 Blend
Pairs well with
Medium Roast Coffee Blend from Brazil & Ethiopia
The 45 is the middle speed of our Turntable Collection — three blends named for the speeds of a record player — and like the singles that spun at 45 rpm, it's the crowd-pleaser. A blend of washed and natural process coffees from Brazil and East Africa, it pairs South American body with African brightness for a cup that's balanced without being boring.
Tasting Notes
Dark cherry, roasted cashew, and baker's chocolate — a distinctively velvety mouthfeel, medium body, and a gentle sweetness that keeps every sip round.
How We Roast It
Balance is a roasting decision, not an accident. We give the 45 a long, patient Maillard phase — the browning stage where sweetness is built — and a short development after first crack, so the Ethiopian fruit stays lively while the Brazilian base stays smooth and chocolatey. It's the house method behind everything we roast, tuned here for everyday drinkability. (The full story is in our roasting post.)
How to Brew It
An ideal daily driver: it shines as a pour-over, holds up in a drip machine all morning, and makes a sweet, cherry-toned espresso. Brew it with the same water and gear we use for the cup we intended.
