The 33 Blend
Pairs well with
Light Roast Coffee Blend from East Africa
The 33 opens our Turntable Collection — three blends named for the speeds of a record player — and like the LPs that spin at 33⅓, it's the one you put on when you want to hear every detail. A light-bodied blend of naturally processed East African coffees, it's bright, fruit-forward, and balanced enough to drink all day.
Tasting Notes
Blueberry, jam, and a bit of baker's chocolate — the berry sweetness comes from the natural process, where the coffee dries inside its own fruit, and the chocolate note keeps it grounded.
How We Roast It
Light roasts are the easiest to get wrong — rushed, they turn grassy and sour. We roast the 33 with our signature patience: a stretched Maillard phase that builds real sweetness under the fruit, and a short development that preserves the berry brightness the East African naturals bring. Bright and sweet is the whole trick. (More on the method in our roasting post — and on why naturals taste like berries in our processing guide.)
How to Brew It
This is a pour-over's best friend — a V60 makes the blueberry sing — and it brews a surprisingly lush cold brew. Grab the gear and water we use and follow any of our newsletter recipes for the full effect.
